Over the course of 11 weeks a trained facilitator guides your group on an interactive journey through the story of the Bible from Creation to Re-Creation.

Whether you are exploring the Bible for the first time or you’ve been reading it for your whole life, SFL will take you deep into each part of this epic story while challenging you to grow in your faith.

The Creation

God designs the earth. Human beings are created in God’s image and charged with the work of bringing his beauty and order to all of the created world. God begins to develop a deep personal relationship with Adam and Eve. God places a forbidden tree in Eden.

The Fall

Humans choose not to trust God and eat the forbidden fruit. God sent us out of the garden as the curses that came from our sin began to taint all of creation. God promises that one day an offspring will come and will be struck by the serpent as He crushes the head of evil.

The Covenant

God calls out one family in radical faith, and through that family an entire nation of priests, helping to reconcile the world to God. But even though they had a covenant with God, they continually betrayed him, and God in His love decided that there would be a new covenant, the fulfillment of the Story of the Lamb.

The Kingdom

God begins generations of preparing the world to recognize the promised Savior. God reveals His rescue plan by sending His Son to inaugurate His Kingdom. Jesus arrives establishing a new Kingdom that has values that are the complete reverse of this world’s values.

The Cross

God sends His only son, Jesus, to pay for our sin. We kill Jesus and He conquers sin and extends grace. We’re offered a choice to follow the path back to a relationship with God through receiving His free gift of salvation and confessing our agreement to His Lordship.

The Confession

Jesus' resurrection calls for complete surrender to him as king of the universe. True disciples embrace His total Lordship.

The Adoption

Those who confess Jesus as King don't have to live as slaves anymore. God adopts them into his family as sons, thus giving them a new identity.

The Spirit

Jesus ascends to the Father and sends his disciples “the Helper.” They are filled with the Spirit and empowered to live a life of communion with the Father and victory over sin.

The Church

Jesus establishes the Church. The Holy Spirit unites all believers into a unified body. We join together to make disciples and expand God’s Kingdom.

The Re-Creation

Christ returns to FULLY bring His Kingdom on earth as it once was in the Garden of Eden and reigns forever.

How does it work?

SFL breaks the Biblical Story into 11 chapters or ‘Acts.’ During the weekly two hour group session, we’ll READ scripture, DISCUSS its meaning, APPLY it to our lives, and TRAIN in living it out.

What Should I Expect?

Groups meet in homes or on Zoom, and are guided by a trained facilitator. Expect two hours of lively discussion, and come ready to listen, and to share. SFL is a safe, authentic atmosphere where you can encounter the truth of the Story and wrestle with your beliefs.
